Waxing Prep Checklist

Prep right and your wax is cleaner, longer-lasting, and less painful. Tick these off before your appointment.

1. 2–4 weeks beforeGrow it outHair should be about ¼ inch (grain-of-rice length). Don't shave in between — waxing needs something to grip.
2. 24–48 hrs beforeGently exfoliateLightly exfoliate the area to lift ingrowns and dead skin. Don't over-scrub or use actives right before.
3. Day ofSkip lotions & oilsArrive with clean, product-free skin so the wax adheres properly.
4. Day ofTime it (and skip caffeine)Avoid heavy caffeine and, if sensitive, take an OTC pain reliever ~30 min before. Avoid waxing right before your period when skin is most sensitive.
5. Day ofWear loose clothingLoose cotton reduces friction and irritation afterward.
